INFORMATION REGARDING COVID-19

SAFE CARE HOME

ORPEA’s pledge regarding the situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic

ORPEA’s main goal is to ensure that its residents feel safe, in a protected and comfortable environment where proper hygiene and disinfection measures are in place. Accordingly, ORPEA complies with the corresponding protection and prevention regulations on health, safety and hygiene in all its centres.
The Admission Protocol for new residents in each centre is as follows:

  • Quantitative serological test.
  • Certificate of disinfection of rooms, carried out by an external company, and periodical disinfection processes in all centres.
  • Round-the-clock medical monitoring.
  • Direct communication channels with the resident’s family members (videocall service or visit protocol, regulated and reviewed in accordance with the instructions of the public authorities in each Autonomous Community).

ORPEA offers both indoor and outdoor therapies and activities for its residents, designed to foster their physical wellbeing and social lives, but always in line with the corresponding safety and prevention measures.

We provide our short-stay and long-stay residents with fully-equipped individual spaces and communal areas, excellent residential services and a team of highly qualified professionals to make them feel at home.

The care home also provides a special care service for residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

The Puente Romano care home offers 120 residential places and 30 day-care places. Day-care users are transported to the day centre in vehicles specially adapted for persons of reduced mobility.

All the rooms at the Puente Romano care home are equipped with a television, telephone and resident-staff call and communication system. Each resident can personalize their room to their own taste, as if it were their own home.

There is a daily cleaning service and a service for changing towels and bed linen. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant, although residents have the option of dining in their rooms.

Our doctors constantly monitor the nutritional health of our residents, who are provided with diets tailored to their specific needs. With prior notice, meals can be prepared for our residents’ guests.

At the ORPEA Puente Romano care home, our carers attend to the needs of residents 24 hours a day: doctors, nurses, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, activity instructors, nursing assistants, geriatric carers…

What’s more, the care home implements all the measures necessary to ensure the peace of mind and safety of its residents and their family members, constantly striving to foster the personal autonomy of residents and to ensure the care of those in a situation of dependence.
